Hollywood actor Robert Redford is the latest celebrity to add their voice to urge the U.S. government not to support the controversial Keystone XL pipeline.
Redford posted a video on the New York Times website slamming the project.
He says the project is a bad idea that would threaten the splendour of America's heartland.
He adds that it must be stopped and the pipeline would carry the ‘dirtiest oil in the planet'.
Transcanada says that Redford is entitled to his own opinion.
Meanwhile, the Obama government is set to make a decision on if the project will go ahead by the end of the year.
