Mondays are special days at an Okotoks seniors lodge.

It’s the day that mothers bring in their babies and toddlers for a playdate with the residents at the Sandstone Lodge.

It is a program called Rhythm and Rhymes.

It’s a chance for the seniors to enjoy some time with children.

Trish Gulka and her son one-year-old Kayson come here every week.  They visit residents such as 91-year-old Amy Lawson.

Lawson has seven children of her own – five are seniors themselves.

Lawson says Mondays never get old “I love babies…I love seeing them.”
