Seven Chiefs Sportplex transforms into holiday market with Christmas at the Nation
Christmas at the Nation, an Indigenous holiday market featuring 200 artisans and vendors at Seven Chiefs Sportplex, runs until 4 p.m. Sunday
If you are looking for a unique Christmas gift, you might want to head over to Tsuut’ina Nation.
Christmas at the Nation is on, and it’s one of Alberta’s largest Indigenous markets, featuring more than 200 local artists and vendors.
The Seven Chiefs Sportplex is brimming with all kinds of unique and beautiful items.
There are also dance performances, an indoor tipi, photos with Santa, and plenty of tasty food.
Organizers say the market is a great place to find a special gift, and it helps local artisans, too.
“You have apparel you can choose from, there’s beaded jewelry, there’s painters, there’s kind of a whole mix of different artisans and different crafters – we’re just really happy that they’re all able to make it this weekend,” said spokesperson Cieran Starlight..
