Even thought the Stampede doesn't officially start until after the parade on Friday, the gates at Stampede Park will be open on Thursday night so people can mosey on down to Sneak-a-Peek at this year's attractions.

Sneak-a-Peek gets underway at 5:00 p.m. and rides run until midnight.

"Sneak-a-Peek is the first evening of the Calgary Stampede and it's a great value. It's a discounted admission rate. It's $8 dollars for anybody over seven. You can take a quick sneak-a-peek at all the things you want to plan out for your Stampede, cause you're definitely not gonna be able to see everything all in one night," said Jennifer Booth from the Calgary Stampede.

The indoor attractions are open as well but only until 11:00 p.m.

There are almost 40 major rides and the midway is packed with games and food establishments.

There is a mini-midway for the kids featuring the Construction Zone, Undersea Adventure, the Wacky Worm Rollercoaster and more.
