The Airdrie RCMP detachment has released surveillance camera images of two suspects who allegedly attempted to cut the locks off the front doors of the local London Drugs early Friday morning.

Shortly before 4:00 a.m., cameras captured a light coloured pickup truck, possibly a GMC or Chevrolet, with a square light bar stopping in front of the London Drugs on Main Street. Two men, dressed as construction workers, exited the truck and placed pylons in front of the store’s entrance.

RCMP say the men used a power tool to cut the locks off the door but cleaners, working inside the store, heard the noise and confronted the suspects.

The two men, both Caucasian, fled the scene in the truck.

Anyone with information about the attempted break and enter is asked to contact the Airdrie RCMP, 403-945-7200, or Crime Stoppers.
