A 14-year-old girl was transported to hospital with serious injuries following a Sunday afternoon ATV crash near the village of Linden.

Three minors were riding a quad in a rural area southwest of the village when the operator, a 14-year-old girl, lost control of the vehicle. The ATV rolled, throwing the three, who had not been wearing helmets, from the vehicle.

Emergency crews were called to the scene, near the intersection of Township Road 302 and Range Road 260,shortly after 4:00 p.m.

The teenage girl was airlifted by STARS Air Ambulance to a Calgary-area hospital for treatment of her undisclosed injuries that are considered serious.

The two passengers suffered minor injuries in the rollover.

An RCMP investigation into the rollover is underway.
