One woman was transported to hospital in serious condition and a man and a boy were transported in stable condition following an early evening crash at the Stoney Trail and 16 Avenue N.E. interchange.

According to EMS officials, paramedic crews responded to the area at approximately 7:00 p.m. following reports of a crash.

A woman, believed to be in her 30s, was transported by ground ambulance to the Foothills Medical Centre in serious condition with undisclosed injuries.

A three-year-old boy and a man in his 30s were taken from the scene to separate hospitals in stable condition.

The cause of the crash has not been confirmed. During the investigation into the crash, police closed the off-ramp from southbound Stoney Trail to eastbound 16 Avenue.
