Lethbridge Police have laid charges of second degree murder in that city’s first murder of 2013.
Michael Stanley Charles Mitchell, 37, of Raymond, and Addison Nickokes Wakefield, 21, of Lethbridge, have each been charged with one count of second degree murder.
They were arrested in late January in connection with the death of George Robert Span, 58, of Lethbridge.
Span’s body was found on January 14 at his home in the 200 block of Stafford Bay North.
Police investigation has revealed the murder to be the result of a targeted attack associated with the drug trade.
