Wranglers ride hot power play to 6-1 win over Moose for fifth win in a row
The Wranglers made the most of their man advantages Tuesday night as they won their fifth in a row, topping the Moose 6-1.
Led by Rory Kerins, who had a goal and two assists, the Wranglers lit the lamp three times with the man advantage.
The Moose, meanwhile, came up empty-handed on four power plays.
Dryden Hunt matched Kerins with a goal and two assists, and the Wranglers also got goals from Martin Frk, Sam Honzek, William Stromgren and Yan Kuznetsov.
Adam Klapka chipped in with two assists, as 11 different Wranglers had at least one point.
Devin Cooley stopped 30 shots for the Wranglers to pick up the victory.
The victory moved the Wranglers into the top spot in the AHL with 37 points, tied with Hershey.
Kerins, with 27 points, is tied for the league lead in scoring with Milwaukee’s Vinnie Hinostroza.
Next up for the Wranglers is a Wednesday night rematch with the Moose.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
