Police were called out to a southeast neighbourhood early Sunday morning after a driver lost control of her vehicle and smashed through the window of a Willow Park area home.

Emergency crews were called to a home in the 600 block of Willingdon Blvd. SE just before 7:00 a.m. and found a car sticking out of the front of the residence when they arrived.

Police say it appears the female driver of the four-door sedan lost control on the icy roads and the car went over the curb and across the front lawn before ramming into the house.

No one was injured in the crash and the majority of the damage to the home was to the bay window in the front.

There is no word yet on whether charges will be laid.
