A man is facing a second-degree murder charge in the death of a 16-year-old male at a residence on Siksika Nation last week.

Police were called to an altercation on Thursday, December 18 at about 7:30 p.m. and found an unconscious teen on the ground outside a home. The 16-year-old later died from his injuries.

On Friday, RCMP charged Austin Bigtobacco, 19, with second-degree murder in the teen’s death.

The identity of the deceased has not been released.

Bigtobacco is in custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Gleichen on January 8, 2015.
