Calgarians will have a chance to see the inner workings of EMS stations and ambulances during a week celebrating the contributions of Canada's paramedics and emergency medical technicians.

Calgary EMS will host the following open houses:

Sunday, May 24

  • 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • EMS District Base #4
  • 15100 Macleod Trail South (access from Bannister Road Southeast)

Saturday, May 30

  • 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • EMS Station #6
  • 1940 Westmount Boulevard Northwest

The events, which are free to the public, are scheduled to include:

  • Interactive ambulance tours
  • Demonstrations of medical equipment
  • Medical simulation training demonstrations involving computerized mannequins
