Calgarians will have a chance to see the inner workings of EMS stations and ambulances during a week celebrating the contributions of Canada's paramedics and emergency medical technicians.
Calgary EMS will host the following open houses:
Sunday, May 24
- 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- EMS District Base #4
- 15100 Macleod Trail South (access from Bannister Road Southeast)
Saturday, May 30
- 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- EMS Station #6
- 1940 Westmount Boulevard Northwest
The events, which are free to the public, are scheduled to include:
- Interactive ambulance tours
- Demonstrations of medical equipment
- Medical simulation training demonstrations involving computerized mannequins
The 2015 National Paramedic Services Week runs from May 24 – 30. For additional information about the open houses, call
