Week after week gas prices continue to rise, but the cost of oil is stable around the 50 dollar mark, per barrel.

Several stations across Calgary are charging 99.9 cents per litre for regular gas, however, it is as high as 102.9 at some outlets.

We’re not alone in our pain though as people living in Montreal are paying 125.9 and in Vancouver, it’s as high as 132.9.

There are several reasons for the increase, the low Canadian dollar, a refinery explosion in California and a shortage of gas in the United States.
