Eight former clients of Brad McLellan, a local massage therapist, say they were assaulted during their sessions prompting four additional charges against the accused.

The original accusation was reported by a 25-year-old woman who went to police following an appointment with McLellan in December 2015.

At that time, police went public with the case under the belief there could be other possible victims. Three women between the ages of 20 and 50 years old came forward stating they had been assaulted by McLellan during their massage therapy appointments.

All of the assaults are alleged to have taken place at Centennial Wellness Clinic on 3rd Avenue S.W. and at Pro Active Health Group on 12th Avenue S.W. between September and December of last year.

As of February 12, eight women have alleged McLellan sexually assaulted them. McLellan’s lawyer says the allegations against his client are false.

“He is very upset,” said defence lawyer Cory Wilson. “He is very emotional about it. He absolutely denies the allegations, denies any wrongdoing whatsoever.”

McLellan was to appear in court on Friday to face the initial four charges. The additional charges have postponed his court date.

McLellan issued the following statement to CTV Calgary:

“Once again I deny all these allegations against me. I maintain my innocence. I've always had consent with all my treatments that I've ever done. I can't wait until I have the opportunity to have my say and tell my side of the story. I'm disappointed that the date has been postponed. I just want the chance to clear my name and move forward."

McLellan is scheduled to have his day in court on March 24, 2016.
