Police say they’ve arrested a man and seized a gun following an attempted armed carjacking in southeast Calgary on Thursday evening.
At about 7:15, police were called to the parking lot of the Walmart near Shawville Boulevard and Shawville Gate.
A woman says a man approached her, showed her a gun, and then demanded her car keys.
The woman refused and the man walked away.
Police managed to find the suspect a short time later and arrested him.
They also seized a gun that he had in his possession.
Charges are pending.
