Calgary police are appealing to the public for help to track down suspects in two arsons that happened in the southwest earlier this year.

The first incident happened on January 1 in the 1700 block of 11 Avenue S.W. at about 1:00 a.m.

Police say a man approached the back door of a business in a converted house and it is believed he poured a flammable liquid on the building and set it on fire.

Two men returned to the same property at about 3:00 a.m. on January 20 and police believe one of them may have been the same man from the first incident.

Investigators say surveillance footage shows what looks like two men breaking into the property and that a small fire was set inside that burned out before it spread too far.

Police say they think the business is being targeted and that the two incidents resulted in an estimated $100,000 in damage.

No one was injured.
