The Calgary Zoo is gradually rebuilding after the floods devastated the facility at the end of June but nothing could stop staff and supporters from putting on one of the most popular events of the year.
ZOOLIGHTS is back for its 16th year and is set to open at the end of November to kick off the holiday season.
JSS Barristers is presenting this year’s event which is the largest seasonal light display in Western Canada.
“JSS Barristers is proud to be the presenting sponsor of ZOOLIGHTS, a much anticipated Calgary community tradition in celebration of the holiday season. It is particularly gratifying to be a meaningful part of the re-opening of the zoo in light of the zoo’s amazing resilience after it was devastated by the summer’s flood,” said Bryan C. Duguid, Managing Partner of JSS Barristers.
The event runs nightly from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. from November 29 to January 4, 2014.
The light display is closed on December 25th and a separate ticket will be required for the Zoo Year’s Eve event on December 31, 2013.
Entrance to the ZOOLIGHTS display is through the north gate only.
Tickets are available at the gate and are priced as follows:
- General Admission (16 years and up) $ 12.00 (plus GST)
- Child (3-15 years) $ 9.00 (plus GST)
- For bulk tickets for groups of 50 or more call 232-9300.
The Zoo’s online ticket system is currently out of order because of damages from flooding but the zoo says people can call them directly for pre-sale tickets at 403-232-9300.
