Science fiction and fantasy fans will have another day to enjoy the festivities at the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo in April and to make things even better, tickets go on sale at 10 a.m.

Organizers say they will be opening the doors on the popular event at the BMO Centre on Thursday, April 24, at 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

They’re calling the extra day a ‘preview night’ ahead of the actual event which starts on Friday at noon with a parade through the downtown core.

Tickets to the event are also scheduled to go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m.

According to the official website, tickets are only available in advance and can be bought online or at participating retail locations (starting December 1).

Officials stress that all ticketholders are guaranteed entrance into the event and anyone who comes to the door without one will be turned away.

Last year’s event brought in over 60,000 people.
