1 person in hospital, 1 person in custody after southeast Calgary stabbing

One person is in hospital with serious injuries after an altercation near the 39th Avenue CTrain station in southeast Calgary.

A man was arrested a couple blocks away from where the incident occurred.

Police say a witness called in to 911 to report someone had been injured.

Officers responded to a fast-food business on Macleod Trail.

Paramedics transported one adult to hospital in serious condition while several officers did a sweep of the CTrain station looking for evidence.

LRT service was not impacted.
