Drivers were put to the test once again Friday morning as they made their way to work on icy roads.
Calgary police say 40 crashes were reported, four with injuries, between 6:00 and 11:30 a.m.
The fresh snow and drop in temperature overnight created slick conditions on major roads and side streets.
City crews have been dumping salt on priority one and two routes over the past two days and continue to monitor trouble spots.
