A touching memorial service was held today for Vicky Shachtay.

The young mother was murdered over a week ago when a package containing an explosive was delivered to her home.

Her death has left the community of Innisfail in shock.

More than 250 family and friends, braved the cold, and packed a small Innisfail church.

Many wore red coloured hoodies, Vicki Shachtay's favourite colour, in honour of the young mother murdered.

"The service was a great tribute to Vicky. her life and her faith in Jesus," says pastor Dave Wiebe.

The 23-year-old woman was killed in what police say was a targeted attack.

Investigators believe Shachtay found a package on her door step, a parcel which exploded shortly after she brought into her apartment.

RCMP are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

A trust fund has been set up for Vicky Shachtay's daughter Destiny.
