A Langdon man who was the victim of a brutal home invasion three years ago took the stand at the trial of his ex-girlfriend on Tuesday.

Angela Eriksen is accused of assisting in the 2008 break and enter and assault on Dan Olineck.

Olineck, 39, testified that he had recently broken up with Eriksen and that her family was furious.

Eriksen apparently told her brother, Lance Norton, and a friend, Christopher Hansen, that somebody had tampered with the seat belts in her car and she thought Olineck was responsible.

The defence concedes Erikson met with the two men in a bar to discuss plans to confront her ex-boyfriend.

Eriksen also admitted that she drove the two men in a friend's car to Olineck's house on January 3, 2008.

The men wore disguises when they burst into the house where Olineck and his girlfriend were sleeping.

During the attack, Olineck defended himself with a knife, stabbing Eriksen's brother to death and seriously injuring Hansen.

Court heard that Eriksen stayed in the car during the attack.

Christopher Joel Hansen pleaded guilty to the home invasion and is serving seven years in prison.
