An Alberta woman is being credited with using her CPR expertise to help save a two –year-old girl who fell into a septic tank in Arizona.

Chelsea Cunningham was visiting Maricopa, Arizona, and was there when a little girl fell into a septic tank.

Two men managed to pull the girl out immediately and Cunningham, despite having no formal medical training, used CPR to revive the toddler.

The girl was quickly rushed to hospital where she is expected to recover.

Cunningham, a mother of three, says CPR was part of an influence she had while growing up. “There was always a first aid presence there. My dad was very insistent that it was kept up.”

Witnesses say it’s a miracle that she was on hand and it’s scary to think what might have happened if she wasn’t.
