Alberta Health Services has lifted the boil water advisory for many areas of High River and says crews worked night and day to restore safe water access to residents.
Those who live in the Hampton Hills Estates and the area east of 20th Street known as Sunrise remain under the boil water advisory.
Those residents should bring their water to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to using it for domestic purposes and consumption.
Residents who are unsure if the boil water advisory still applies to them can check the colour-coded street map at www.highriver.ca or call the Town of High River at 403-652-2110.
Water used for bathing or laundry does not need to be boiled.
