Although it’s the third week of spring, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in southern and central Alberta.

Between 6:00 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday, the Calgary Police Service responded to 76 crashes on city streets, 15 of which involved injuries.

According to the AMA, as of 10:30 a.m. Sunday, the Trans-Canada Highway is rated as fair between Kananaskis and Brooks and poor east of the Highway 40 overpass.

Highway 2 is in poor condition south of the City of Calgary and in fair condition north of Calgary, between the city limits and Didsbury.

Environment Canada has removed the heavy snowfall warning for the Calgary.

As of 5:00 p.m. Sunday,  snowfall warnings remain for the following regions:

  • Kananaskis - Canmore
  • Okotoks – High River – Claresholm
  • Brooks – Strathmore – Vulcan
  • Crowsnest Pass - Pincher Creek - Waterton Lakes
  • Cardston – Fort Macleod – Magrath
  • Lethbridge - Taber – Milk River
