A 19-year-old man is dead following a collision between a car and a cattle liner.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 9 and Range Rd. 250, east of Beiseker, at approximately 12:45 a.m. on Saturday.
According to RCMP, the impact of the crash caused both vehicles to erupt in flames. Rockyview Fire contained the blaze.
The driver of the car, a 19-year-old male from Calgary was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the cattle liner escaped injury. 12 of the 95 head of cattle did not survive.
RCMP continue to investigate. Poor road conditions have been ruled out as a factor in the crash.
