RCMP says they have charged a 20-year-old man in connection with a drug trafficking operation working out of a home in the community east of Calgary.

Through the work of the Calgary Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team, investigators were able to identify and gather enough evidence against 20-year-old Justin Dang.

Dang was arrested without incident during a traffic stop on Range Road 241a on January 14, 2015.

RCMP executed a search warrant on a home in the Sandy Beach Cove area of Chestermere shortly afterward, finding substantial amounts of marijuana and cash in the home.

Dang has been charged with:

Possession for the purpose of trafficking

Possession of property obtained by crime

Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

Dang was released and is expected to appear in Provincial Court in Calgary on January 30, 2015.
