Thrillseekers looking for their next adventure don’t have far to go as a popular run has opened at Sunshine Village Ski Resort.

The Delirium Dive, which features over 2,000 feet of vertical, a 40 degree average pitch, and over 600 acres of terrain, is the result of lots of snowfalls and work from the Sunshine Village team.

“Through the excellent work of both our ski patrol and snow safety teams, we are pleased to announce to guests the opening of our internationally recognized advanced terrain,” begins Dave Riley, Chief Operating Officer, Sunshine Village Ski Resort in a release. “The opening of Delirium Dive, coupled with last week’s opening of the Wild West, is a glowing testament to Sunshine’s emphasis in providing guests an exceptional big mountain experience.”

The Dive is located off the summit of Lookout Mountain and officials say it has some of the best snow conditions in the Canadian Rockies.

Skiers looking to take on the Dive will need to make sure they have an avalanche transceiver, shovel, and probe as well as a ski with a partner who is similarly equipped.

Delirium Dive is subject to weather and snow closures, including avalanche control work.
