A woman found guilty of pushing a teenager to his death was sentenced to two years plus a day.

Natalie Pasqua was previously convicted of second-degree murder for pushing 17-year-old Gage Prevost into a moving CTrain.

On appeal, the charge was reduced to manslaughter.

Pasqua says she and Prevost were fighting over a drug deal but she never meant to kill him.

The sentence handed down on Monday is on top of the time she's already served. This means her sentence is equivalent for five years and four months.

Pasqua will serve her time in the Edmonton Institution for Women. She will be required to take anger management classes and substance abuse classes.
