Tickets are on sale for a memorial fundraising concert celebrating the lives of the five students killed at a Brentwood home in April.

The “High Hopes” concert is dedicated to Joshua Hunter, Zackariah Rathwell, Lawrence Hong, Jordan Segura and Kaiti Perras.

The event, hosted by charitable organization Zackariah and the Non-Profits, will feature musical entertainment, a raffle and artwork from local artists.

Two of the victims – Rathwell and Hunter – were members of a band, Zackariah and the Prophets.

The remaining two band members, Barry Mason and Kyle Tenove, will perform a tribute to the victims as part of the concert.

Organizers say they hope to raise about $65,000.

All money raised will be distributed among the five scholarships, trust funds or charities established for the victims as well as a local non-profit or charity that supports the development of art and music in Calgary.

The event will be held at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium on September 4 at 6 p.m.

Tickets for the event cost $25.00. They can be purchased online
