Calgary police have charged two men in connection with a home invasion and murder that happened back in January 2008.

Kevin Allen Bowser, 43, died from stab wounds he received after a home invasion robbery in the 900 block of 42 St. S.W. on January 9th, 2008.

Police arrested the two men on Saturday, one in Lethbridge, and the other in Carstairs and transported both to the Calgary Remand Centre.

20-year-old Alexander Benjamin Vuozzo and 23-year-old Michael James Wozny have been charged with second degree murder and robbery and will appear in court on Wednesday.

Investigators say this was not a random attack and that the suspects knew each other and forced their was into the home to get something specific.

"It's related to drugs, and that's why this particular gentleman's home was targetted and unfortunately it was a botched robbery, which led to his death." Said SSGT. Patty McCallum from the Calgary Police Homicide Unit.

Bowser's wife has since moved from the home, but next door neighbors tell CTV News that they are relieved charges have been laid in this case.
