Several northeastern Ontario communities headed for a deep freeze

Sudbury — Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for several communities in northeastern Ontario Wednesday including:

Temperatures will drop below - 40 C with the wind chill.

Conditions will improve Wednesday afternoon, but redevelop overnight into Thursday.

Frostbite on exposed skin is possible within minutes during these conditions, so bundle up.
