Three people are under arrest after police busted a sophisticated credit card manufacturing lab in a northeast home.

On Wednesday, Tactical Unit members entered a residence in the 2200 block of 19 Street N.E. armed with a warrant.

Officers discovered a sophisticated credit card manufacturing lab inside and seized more than 200 forged credit cards, dozens of blank credit cards, and numerous pieces of forged documentation.

They also confiscated credit card printers, embossers, laminators, and a credit card reader and writer which are used to make the cards.

Police were investigating another fraud complaint when they became aware of the operation and say the lab may have been up and running for more than a year.

Christopher Tabios Arquillana, 35, Francis Molina Dionela, 34, and Myra Dela Cruz Paule, 31, all of Calgary, are charged with multiple fraud-related offences including possession of instruments for credit card forgery, unlawfully possessing credit card data and possession of counterfeit credit cards.

Police say multiple fraud investigations are now ongoing across Alberta and Saskatchewan that may involve the same group.
