Alberta’s Tories showed up in strength at this year’s Premier’s Dinner in Calgary on Thursday night.

1,800 people attended the gathering, which was the largest ever in the history of the PC Party.

MLAs from all over southern Alberta attended along with business and community leaders.

There were also a number of the people who have either tossed their hat into the ring in the fight for leadership including several who are expected to.

Interim Premier Dave Hancock offered the same apology he did at last week’s convention in Edmonton, but added they won’t let past problems affect them in the future.

“We are putting systems in place and have put systems in place to deal with expenses, travel and severances. We will do a better job of reporting on how we use taxpayer dollars and will ensure workers see and understand the value of what we're doing and the value of the changes we are making.”

The Tory leadership vote is scheduled for September.
