High River RCMP has charged a 24-year-old man from Okotoks in connection with the theft of food supplies from the temporary community of Saddlebrook.
On September 30, RCMP was advised a man was stealing supplies from the High River Relief Community of Saddlebrook.
On October 12, High River RCMP managed to arrest a suspect in connection with the thefts.
Devin Gillingham, 24, has been charged with one global count of theft under $5,000 and one count of unsafely storing a firearm.
A search warrant conducted on his home recovered a significant amount of stolen food and miscellaneous food supplies.
Investigators have determined that these items were destined for distribution to flood victims in High River.
Gillingham has seen a Justice of the Peace and has been placed in the Calgary Remand Centre until his first court appearance on October 18.
