One person was found dead at a home in the town of Coleman late Thursday night after neighbours reported hearing numerous gunshots.
At approximately 11:00 p.m., officers responded to a home in the Bushtown section of Coleman.
Members of the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit have been deployed to the crime scene to assist with the investigation.
According to neighbours, an elderly woman lived in the home.
The identity of the deceased has not been released.
Crowsnest Pass RCMP will not comment on the ongoing investigation into the death which has been deemed suspicious.
