RCMP in Strathmore were called out to investigate after receiving a 911 call from someone saying a man had been shot in the face.
Police responded to the Wrangler Park Industrial area, near Strathmore, at around 5:35 a.m. Tuesday.
When emergency crews arrived, they found a man suffering from what appeared to be a shot to the face from a pellet gun.
The man was taken to hospital by RCMP and his injuries are not considered life threatening.
Police located a suspect and made an arrest a short time later.
Investigators say a road rage incident in Calgary a few minutes before may have caused the situation to escalate.
The incident happened close to Calgary so city police were called in to help out.
Strathmore RCMP are investigating.
