The Calgary Police Service says they will be focusing on an area west of Beiseker in the search for a man missing since February.
Ryan Lane, 24, was last seen in the early morning hours of Feb. 7, 2012, in the 5200 block of Country Hills Blvd. N.W.
Police believe that Lane may be a victim of foul play and the Homicide Unit is leading the investigation.
In a release, they say they have identified an area west of Beiseker as a possible last known location.
This coming Sunday, approximately 80 Calgary Search and Rescue volunteers will be joining CPS and Calgary Fire search teams to try and find any trace of Lane in the area south of Highway 72 between Range Road 263 and Range Road 265.
Police say it is out of character for Lane to be out of contact with his family or friends for an extended period of time and he has missed several important appointments.
Lane is described as:
- Caucasian
- 175 cm or 5'9" tall
- 68 Kg or 150 lbs
- Slim build
- Brown eyes
- Brown hair
- Tattoo on his right upper arm
Police do have suspects they believe may have something to do with Lane's disappearance, but those individuals are unco-operative with police.
Anyone with information regarding Lane's whereabouts is asked to contact police, or Crime Stoppers anonymously using any of the following methods:
