Snow is in the forecast for Monday, the rain will change to snow in the afternoon.

The forecast calls for the temperature to plunge, and the rain will likely turn into wet snow as the temperature goes down.

According to Environment Canada, a cold front could bring up to five centimetres of snow to Calgary and the surrounding areas such as, Okotoks, Banff, Canmore, and Airdrie.

CTV Calgary's Steve Rothfels says don't be surprised if you wake up Tuesday to "snow on the ground."

Temperatures will remain in the single-digit range until Thursday, according to Environment Canada forecasts.

The average daily high in Calgary for this time of year is 19 Celsius.
