Two Calgarians and a resident of Airdrie face charges following a Monday afternoon traffic stop in Provo, Utah that yielded more than 230 lbs (104 kg) of methamphetamine.

According to the Utah Department of Public Safety, Utah Highway Patrol Troopers stopped a vehicle after observing several traffic violations.

A trooper’s K-9 member detected drugs. A search was conducted of the vehicle’s trunk and more than 230 lbs. of methamphetamine was located and seized.

As a result of the seizure, the following three Albertans were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance:

  • Brennan Carter Tutt, 24, of Airdrie
  • Caicedo Ramirez Santiago, 20, of Calgary
  • Kyle Carlson Taylor, 19, of Calgary

According to the Utah County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Bureau, the trio was released from custody early Wednesday morning. Bail for each of the accused had been set at $15,000 USD.
