Do you recognize this man? Burnaby RCMP seek sexual assault suspect

Burnaby RCMP released this suspect sketch as part of a sexual assault investigation.

Mounties have released a suspect sketch in hopes of advancing their investigation into a stranger sexual assault in a Burnaby Park two months ago.

A woman told police she was “grabbed from behind and sexually assaulted” in Stride Avenue Ravine Park around 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 17, 2024, according to a news release from Burnaby RCMP, issued Thursday.

No further details about the allegations were provided.

“While our investigators are following leads as they work to identify the suspect, we want the public to be aware of this incident, take look at the sketch, and report any suspicious activity to police,” spokesperson Cpl. Laura Hirst wrote.

The man is described as white and in his 30s, with a slim build. Police also said he has “long, very blonde, messy hair; (a) blond beard with a notable patch of missing hair on his right cheek; large, prominent ears; and crooked yellow teeth.”
