Parts of Manitoba under snowfall warning, 15 to 25 cm expected

Heavy snowfall is expected to fall through parts of Manitoba this week.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has issued a snowfall warning for a large section of central and northern Manitoba, including Flin Flon, Berens River, The Pas, and Oxford House.

The weather agency said snow is expected to start falling Thursday with total amounts pegged at 15 to 25 cm.

It should taper off overnight Friday, officials advised.

ECCC reminded the public rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult, and visibility may suddenly be reduced at times due to heavy snow.
