A teenager has succumbed to the injuries he suffered in a Saturday morning workplace incident at a location south of East Coulee, a bedroom community of Drumheller.
Shortly before 9:00 a.m., emergency crews including EMS, firefighters and RCMP responded to a private gravel pit after co-workers found the teen tangled in a gravel crusher. The 15-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials with Occupational Health and Safety are investigating the incident.
The identity of the deceased has not been released.
