Residents of the town of Canmore are no longer required to boil their tap water following a nearly two week long boil advisory.
Alberta Health Services has deemed the water in the town to be safe for consumption once the following measures are completed by home and business owners:
- Run all water using fixtures for five minutes to clean the lines
- Drain and flush refrigerator ice-makers
- Run water softeners through a regeneration cycle
- Drain and refill hot water heaters (if set below 45 degrees Celsius)
- Run all water faucets and drinking fountains for five minutes
