Residents of Calgary got their first taste of winter on Wednesday as cold weather moved in overnight.
The snow started to accumulate in some areas of the city, but the roads are mostly bare and wet.
Anyone driving in to Calgary from out of town will notice snow at the side of the road.
The city says they are keeping an eye on the situation and has crews standing by in case they see any snow building up on ramps and bridge decks.
Officials say the plan for this year's snow removal won't change from last year.
That means that as soon as 5 cm of snow falls on city streets, city hall will declare a snow event and anyone parked on a designated snow route will need to move their vehicle and keep it clear until city officials advise otherwise.
There will be one addition to the plan. Painted bike lanes will be included in Priority One snow routes.
The city also said thet they've added 15 modern sanding trucks to its fleet.
The city's snow removal budget for this year sits at $34M.
