Canada was well represented in the 75kg Women’s freestyle gold medal match by Erica Wiebe who lives and trains in Calgary.
Wiebe disposed of Kazakhstan’s Guzel Manyurova in the finals by a score of 6-0.
The 27-year-old earned her berth in the finals with Thursday morning’s 3-0 victory over Belarus’ Vasilisa Marzaliuk in the semi-finals
Wiebe is originally from Ontario but relocated to Calgary to train with members of the Canadian national team at WinSport.
