The federal government is funding several improvements to both the Glenbow and Telus Spark.

The Glenbow Museum will receive $2.5 million over three years, for its renovation project.

The money will help make the museum fully accessible and also add 34 new exhibition and gallery spaces, plus a redesigned and upgraded collections storage centre.

Telus Spark will receive $500,000 over the next two years to purchase advanced audiovisual equipment and high-resolution projectors to enhance its newly-renovated galleries.

The money will also pay for accessibility upgrades.

The funding is coming from the Canadian Heritage department.
