A Calgary judge has released the desperate 911 call for help from the night U of C student Brett Wiese was stabbed to death at a house party.
Emergency crews were called to a home in the 5100 block of Brisebois Dr. N.W. on January 12, 2013 by Alex McNull after a stabbing incident at the home.
McNull can be heard on the call telling the dispatcher that “this one guy had a knife and he stabbed two of my friends in the back and they’re bleeding a lot so I need ambulances to my house.”
Brett Wiese, 20, was stabbed several times and died later in hospital from his injuries.
Another man was also stabbed and sustained life-altering injuries.
Cell phone video from that night shows a confrontation between university and high school students.
A teenage girl was kicked out of the party and prosecutors say she returned with an entourage, armed with knives.
The girl is on trial for first-degree murder in the case and can’t be identified because she was 17 when the incident happened.
Mitchell Harkes is also charged in connection to Wiese's murder.
Harkes will go to trial for second-degree murder in September.
