The city is following through on an initiative that was put in motion last year and has released its first-ever compensation disclosure list.

In November 2014, council directed administration to put together the list to be presented on an annual basis.

The list includes position titles, pay ranges and information about pensions and benefits but does not include employee names and exact salaries.

The city says the goal is to provide transparency while still protecting the privacy and security of employees.

“Our salary ranges provide fair and competitive compensation for our employees,” said Jeff Fielding, City Manager. “We want to be an employer of choice, without losing sight of our accountability to citizens.”

According to the data released the lowest paying position is about $29,000 and the highest is about $350,000.
