Winter Wonderland at the Central Library
- What: Celebrate the holidays with a number of activities at the Central Library including face painting, story time with Allen the Alpaca and a Frozen sing-along.

Christmas Nativity
- What: The Calgary Nativity is a live 20-minute performance commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. The show is free and there's free parking at Lot L32 at the University of Calgary. This year marks the show's 60th year. It's outside so dress for the weather.
- When: There are five performances every evening from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, Saturday, Dec. 21 and Sunday, Dec. 22. Last show starts at 8 p.m.

- What: Zoolights is a family friendly event that sees the Calgary Zoo decked out in thousands of sparkly holiday lights. Some days may be cancelled due to cold weather, so be sure to check the Calgary Zoo’s social media before attending.

A Christmas Carol at Theatre Calgary
- What: Watch Charles Dickens’ classic holiday tale A Christmas Carol come to life on the Theatre Calgary Stage. The play tells the story of elderly miser Ebenezer Scrooge, who is visited by three spirits that take him on a journey into his past, present and future to show him the errors of his ways.
